Contest Rules
What is this contest?
We know that dogs are often people's best friend, but sometimes they can be even more. They can really change our lives. Whether it's something as simple as fetching the newspaper or as monumental as assisting people to live more independently, dogs have the ability to make true differences in our lives every day.
Susquehanna Service Dogs is sponsoring this contest to honor the many ways in which dogs change our lives every day.
Who can submit a story?
- Anyone can submit a story about how a dog has changed someone's life. To be eligible for a prize, you must be an American citizen and at least 18 years of age.
- Employees of Keystone Human Services or of Blue State Digital may submit stories but are not eligible to win prizes.
How do you win?
There will be two winners of the Dogs Change Lives contest. The winner of the Audience Choice Award will be chosen by popular vote on the website, and the winner of the Life-Changer Award will be selected by a panel of expert judges.
- Audience Choice award. Visitors to DogsChangeLives.org will vote on their favorite story. The eligible story with the most votes by midnight on March 28 EDT wins. You can vote once a day for your favorite story. All votes are subject to validation.
- Life Changer Award. A panel of expert judges provided by Keystone Human Services will select the winner of the Life-Changer Award for the entry with the most compelling story of a dog’s impact on a person’s life. The panel will determine the winner without regard to the number of votes the stories receive.
Contest Awards
